It's fall - time for our annual
Gourdgeous Glass Pumpkin Patch
Come on out to the hill country and feast your eyes on Wimberley Glassworks annual Gourdgeous Glass Pumpkin Patch with hundreds of glass pumpkins and gourds. Take your pick from the patch now, and join us September 28th for a day of glassblowing pumpkins, some live local country by the Tracie Lynn duo, Middleton Brewing cold beer on tap, Texas Keeper hard ciders and glass blowing demonstrations by our team of artisans creating glass pumpkins with their twisty stems, all compliments of the Glassworks.
Watch us create a custom glass Monster from our area school design contest at 11 am and an extra large glass pumpkin at 2 pm in a glassblowing demo. We’ll have some family fun activities too, pretzel bar, fresh lemonade, coloring contest, and colorful photo ops. Festivities will be ongoing throughout the day, indoors and out, from 10 am - 5 pm, with live music from 12-3.
This year we'll be encouraging the arts at local schools. Joining in on the fun, prior to the event this fall, will be area schools in Wimberley, San Marcos, Dripping Springs and Canyon Lake, for a monster design contest. Students will be drawing their most imaginable monster on paper, then submitting their designs into the contest for review. On the day of the event, Wimberley Glassworks will create a hand blown custom monster from one of the designs for all to see. This custom monster will be donated to the participating school to enjoy for years to come, after being on display at the Glassworks through October.
These pieces are all hand sculpted, and are available online and in the gallery in various color patterns, shapes and sizes.
RSVP on Eventbrite at Gourdgeous Glass Pumpkin Patch to be entered for giveaways.
